Gary Stevens - England & Everton

GARY STEVENS

EVERTON XI MANAGER & HEAD COACH

Gary played in the most successful Everton side in the 1980s, where he won the English League Championship twice, the FA Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup. He was later named by the Everton supporters as part of the clubs' greatest ever side. He then transferred to Rangers in 1988, where he won the Scottish Premier Division in six consecutive years. He later signed for Tranmere Rovers, playing there until his retirement in 1998. Gary also played for the England National Team, gaining a total of 46 appearances, and playing at the World Cup in both 1986 and 1990.


Mick Lyons - Everton & Sheffield Wednesday

EVERTON XI ASSISTANT MANAGER & ASSISTANT HEAD COACH

Mick Lyons signed as a professional footballer at Everton FC in 1970. He made his first team debut in the League's First Division in 1971. Utilized mostly as a defender, Mick, who captained Everton, would be pushed forward into an attacking role in the last 10 minutes of a game. He notched up 390 appearances and 48 Goals at Goodison Park. Mick's strength, versatility and sheer desire kept Mick at Everton FC for over 10 years.

Mick Lyons appeared for Sheffield Wednesday 129 times, scoring 12 goals. He has Managed various Clubs as well as the Country of Brunei.

LIVERPOOL XI

Rhys Williams - Australia, Wales & Middlesbrough

LIVERPOOL XI MANAGER/HEAD COACH

Rhys had a very successful youth career in Australia and quickly gained attention from England. He was signed by Premier League Club Middlesbrough and given a 3 year deal. In 2007 Rhys signed a Professional Contract with 'Boro and later became Middlebrough's Captain. He had a couple of spells with Burnley and Charlton Athletic. Rhys also played for the Wales U21 National Team. He later played with the Australian National Team from 2009 to 2013. On his return to Australia he played with Perth Glory, Melbourne Victory and Western Sydney Wanderers.


Alun Vernals - Perth Glory, Bayswater City & Armadale SC

ASST MANAGER/COACH TO RHYS WILLIAMS' LIVERPOOL XI

Alun Vernals is a highly experienced and successful Coach in Football. With huge success at Bayswater City, Alun secured numerous trophies for the club. With a prestigious Cup win at Perth Glory, Alun had built himself a reputation in his ability to command team respect while achieving great results.

As Armadale Soccer Club's Head Coach, Alun quickly steered the team away from relegation by immediately securing victories on arrival. Alun, known as "AV", is a results driven Coach with much success behind him.

Des Gallagher - Stevenage Borough FC & North Perth Croatia

DES GALLAGHER

GOALKEEPER COACH (BOTH TEAMS)

Des Gallagher is regarded as an absolute hero for league Division 1 Stevenage Borough Football Club. Remembered well for keeping a clean sheet at Broadhall when Newcastle's Alan Shearer and John Barnes tried but failed to penetrate during the 1997-98 FA Cup Campaign.

Des had stints at various Clubs including Dunstable Town and North Perth Croatia State League Team in WA.


Doug Hesketh - Perth Glory FC & Stirling Lions SC

DOUG HESKETH

ASST COACH TO RHYS WILLIAMS' LIVERPOOL XI

Doug Hesketh, from Liverpool, played his football in the UK, USA, New Zealand & Australia. He naturally moved into coaching in WA and had huge success with academy teams such as Perth Glory. When he took the senior coaching role of WA Premier League side Stirling Lions, he guided them to their first league win in 18 years in his second full season in charge (2013) as well as a grand final after rebuilding the squad.

Over 17 years Doug also won several Tournaments including NPL Promotion for State League side Mandurah City FC.


Tony Castiello - Luton Town FC

TONY CASTIELLO

ASST COACH TO GARY STEVENS' EVERTON XI & MATCH COORDINATOR

Tony started his career as a Professional Footballer with Luton Town Football Club. Tony also played football for Bedford FC and later, after turning down Ron Atkinson's Kettering Town, was transferred to play in Israel. Eventually he ended up playing football in Australia for Fremantle Tricolore where he played as Captain for some years before retiring.

Tony has a lot of Management experience in WA too including stints at various clubs including Armadale SC.


John Brown - Hearts & St Mirren FC

JOHN BROWN

ASST COACH TO GARY STEVENS' EVERTON XI

John Brown was a talented Scottish Defender who played for Hearts of Midlothian from 1967 to 1969. John was sold to St Mirren in 1969 before moving to Berwick Rangers FC in 1970. He played with Berwick before moving to South Africa to play for East London in 1974. 

In 1977 John Brown moved on to play in defence for Canberra City FC until his final move to Inter Monaro in 1982.

John is the Defensive Coach for the Everton XI


Nigel Mann - Mandurah City FC & Armadale SC

NIGEL MANN

ASST COACH TO RHYS WILLIAMS' LIVERPOOL XI

Nigel Mann played most of his football in the UK. He turned to Management and later became the President of Mandurah City FC where he steered the club through difficult times. During Nigel's Presidency at Mandurah he maintained the club's rising status in State League 1 with many noted victories including the Night Series Finals. He lead the way in signing International Players including Scottish Ace; John Baird and others.

Nigel is a Midfield Coach for Rhys' Liverpool XI
